Hula Kalaau. Pu’uhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park is proud to present the June Kahiko (traditional) Hula event with Hula Kala’au (wood sticks). Kala’au adds sound, rhythm, cadence, and visual affects to the hula. Visitors will have opportunities to learn from the kumu hula and participate in hula movements with the Kala’au. South Maui Triathlon at Wailea. This is an Olympic distance swim, bike, run event that starts and finishes on the grounds of the beautiful Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. The swim starts on the beach fronting the resort. The bike route goes out and up to the Kahekili Hwy and proceeds north bound and back to the resort.
