Ali`i Drive along scenic Kailua Bay in Kailua-Kona becomes a festive pedestrian-only walkway from 1 to 6 p.m. Enjoy music, artists, merchants and restaurants. Mitsubishi Electric PGA Champions Tour at Hualalai. Now in its 16th year, this annual golf event is the first match of the year on the PGA Champions Tour. It features 36 – 40 top golfers 50 years or older who have won Champions Tour or other PGA majors or money events in a 54-hole competition for a total purse of nearly $2 million. John Cook is the defending champion. This event offers a rare opportunity to see top-quality and renowned golfers up close, with minimal crowds, in an unparalleled setting. The Neon Vibe 5K Run. The Neon Vibe is a night-time 5k fun run that features UV black lights and vibrantly awesome colors. In association with The Children’s Miracle Network, the run will benefit the Kapiolani Medical Center. The goal is to promote healthy living while having a great time. Aloha Stadium, 99-500 Salt Lake Blvd., Aiea. 6:30 to 9 p.m. Gates open 5 p.m. Children 8 years and under can participate for free but their guardian needs to fill out a waiver on their behalf.
