Halloween on Front Street

Friday, October 31:
Halloween on Front Street. Lahaina blocks off Front Street to cars for the biggest Halloween celebration in Hawai`i. Festivities will begin on Front Street with the 34th Annual Keiki Halloween Costume Parade at 4:30. Following the parade, many shops and restaurants along Front Street will celebrate the night with music, food, costume contests, and a host of activities. Plan to arrive before 3p.m. for parking. Parking lots are accessible from Dickenson Street only to Luakini Street.

Thursday – Sunday, October 30 – 2 (excluding Halloween):
Maui Comedy Festival. A multi-venue comedy showcase in the historic town of Lahaina. Experience more than 30 of today’s funniest and smartest comics, including Reggie Watts, Tig Notaro, Nate Bargatze, Nikki Glaser and Aisha Tyler. In addition to brilliant stand-up performances, the festival will feature unique events, including a live taping of The Green Room with Paul Provenza, a special edition of This Is Not Happening hosted by Ari Shaffir and live podcast recordings of Girl on Guy with Aisha Tyler and the Smartest Man in the World podcast with Greg Proops. 2014 KVC International Costume Ball

2014 KVC International Costume Ball. This year’s Kaua`i Visayan Club International Costume Ball will be held at the Kaua`i Marriott Resort Grand Ballroom, 3610 Rice St., Lihue. Part of the net proceeds will be to benefit the Kaua`i Habitat for Humanity. Doors open at 6 p.m. Contestant Registration 5:45 to 6:45 p.m. (only).
