Kaneohe Bay Air Show

Kaneohe Bay Air Show.  In the sky and on the ground, there will be plenty to see at the 2015 Kaneohe Bay Air Show featuring the US Navy Blue Angels. See the famous “Wall of Fire” demonstration by MAGTF.   Free and open to the public, with gates open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Kokua for Kids: Little Chef, Big Chef

Kokua for Kids: Little Chef, Big Chef.  Celebrating the farm-to-table movement, this fundraising event will feature some of Maui’s top chefs, working with Boys & Girls Club Maui members, using local ingredients in an exciting culinary team competition. Cocktail hour features a host bar from 5:30-6:30 p.m., followed by live entertainment and a dinner prepared by the Grand Wailea’s team of experts. The night will also include a top-notch catalog of items for a live and silent auction. All proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Maui. Hawai`i Island Ukulele Retreat

Hawai`i Island Ukulele Retreat. Featuring week-long classes in ukulele (for players of all skill levels), hula, lap steel guitar, bass, and ukulele bass, in addition to one and two-day workshops on various ukulele skills, including finger picking, jazz, and the blues. Ironman World Championship

Eo e Emalani I Alakai Festival.  Kaua`i’s mountain forest echo with the sounds of Hawaiian music and traditional chants at this free annual festival, mist or shine. Step back in time, when a traditional royal procession arrives at noon (festivities begin at 10 a.m.) Queen Emma and her entourage enter the lovely Kanaloahuluhulu Meadow on horseback, accompanied by hula halau performing chants and dances as gifts for the Queen.
