Waimea Cherry Blossom Festival

Waimea Cherry Blossom Festival.  Find something for everyone to enjoy at this 23rd Annual Festival.   The festival includes a variety of activities 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at multiple venues throughout Waimea. Look for pink banners identifying site locations sprawling from Parker Ranch Center to the Hawaiian Homestead Farmer’s Market on Hwy. 19.  Experience an all-day lineup of Japanese and multi-cultural performing arts at several locations, plus hands-on demonstrations of bonsai, origami, traditional tea ceremony and mochi pounding, plus a host of colorful craft fairs and local-style food booths. Slack Key Guitar Concerts.  Traditional Hawaiian slack key guitar and `ukulele concerts. Punahou Carnival 2016 – “Rewind the Time:  The Punahou Journey”.  Enjoy a day of family fun. Fresh malasadas, mango chutney, kiddie games and E.K. Fernandez rides, White Elephant treasures and live musical entertainment are among the many treats that draw fans each year to the Punahou Carnival.
