Old Town Kapa`a Art Walk.
  Kapa`a Town goes all out for its First Saturday of every month Art Walk. The main street is lined with vendors selling Kaua`i Arts and crafts, with some of Kaua`i’s best musicians and bands playing up and down the street. There are lots of shops and restaurants to choose from. It’s great fun for the whole family and a great way to see Kaua`i life whether you are a visitor or resident.  Kapa`a Town. 5 to 9 p.m.  Free.

Matsuri Kaua`i

Matsuri Kaua`i. 
The festival will showcase different groups of Japanese talents and to perpetuate the Japanese culture on Kaua`i. Taiko performances and classical Japanese dances will also be featured. Usually a featured performance from Japan is presented at this event along with some hands on activities (i.e. oshibana, origami, oshie), crafts, kimono dressing, tea ceremony, shodo, bonsai, ikebana, and more.  Kaua`i War Memorial Convention Hall, 4191 Hardy St., Lihue.  9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Free admission.

  This family-friendly festival will feature the sounds of Kapena, Ho`okena, Jerry Santos and Kamuela Kimokeo, EMKE, and other top island entertainment.  Also enjoy hula by Chinky Mahoe’s Merrie Monarch award-winning halau, Imaginarium shows, Gallery Iolani art exhibit, unique arts and crafts booths, ono food, keiki rides and activities, art exhibits, a college-sponsored silent auction, car show and educational and community displays.   Traditional Hawaiian slack key guitar and `ukulele concerts.
