Lee Brice. This country music singing star returns to Maui after two hugely successful previous MACC concerts. He is a singing and songwriting craftsman, the kind whose boundless desire to hone his skills and relentless pursuit of perfection are matched only by his humility about the entire process. When one listens to his newest self-titled album, Lee Brice, the two-time CMA/ACM/Grammy Song of the Year nominee takes listeners to church, school, home and out on a Saturday night. Celebrate Kamaka Kukona’s 15th anniversary as a kumu hula and his 2018 win for Male Vocalist of the Year. “Pilina Aloha” features Hālau o Ka Hanu Lehua, along with Nā Hōkū Hanohano award winners Nā Hoa, Waipuna, and a reunion performance by `Ale`a. Holoholo Ka`a. A hands-on event where kids and kids at heart can climb aboard, pretend to drive, and take photos in emergency vehicles, heavy machinery, farm equipment, buses, and much more! Local business, public utilities, non-profits, and government agencies showcase their vehicles while sharing their knowledge of duties and operating skills. UH Maui College parking lot, 310 W. Held each Sunday in the Kahului Shopping Center parking lot, this popular event features island vendors (crafters, artisans, food purveyors, and more), entertainment, food trucks, and activities showcasing Hawaiian Cultural traditions and practices. Veteran’s Day Parade
Saturday, November 3:
Veteran’s Day Parade. The parade will begin at 9:30 a.m., starting on Makaha Road and proceeding down Kuhio Highway thru downtown Kapa`a, and ending at Kapa`a Beach Park on Nui Street. The parade will feature marching units from the different military services, community organizations, Kaua`i schools’ marching bands and JROTC units. Following the parade there will be a coconut festival craft fair featuring different ways the coconut and the tree leaves can be used for crafts as well as for food. There will also be a variety of authentic food vendors featuring local foods. Enjoy local entertainment featuring singers as well as a hula show. A short program will be held to honor Veterans. Downtown Kapa’a, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
The Big Festival Day!
Friday, 1:30 to 6 p.m., $35 per person, children 12 and under are free: Those who want to be first through the gate and who appreciate a leisurely shopping experience won’t want to miss this year’s “Exclusive Shopping Day.” Get a one day head-start on your Festival shopping with opening ceremonies with complimentary light pupu, food trucks with food for purchase, a chance to win a “Maui Getaway package” (must be present to win), and a free event tote. Hula Kahiko Performance. Hula halau from across Hawai`i and beyond perform in a one-of-a-kind outdoor setting at the kahua hula (platform) in the Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park, located just a short walking distance from the Volcano Art Gallery in Ka`auea. 10:30 a.m. Audience members are encouraged to bring sun/rain gear and sitting mat.
