Maui Marathon & Half Marathon

Maui Marathon & Half Marathon. The Maui Marathon is the longest consecutively held running event in the state of Hawaii and is the oldest marathon west of the Mississippi River. It has been chosen as one of the top 10 Most Scenic Marathons in the nation by Runner’s World magazine (Feb. 96), and the #10 destination marathon in North America, by the Ultimate Guide to Marathons. The Maui Marathon has developed a reputation over the years as a quality running event. This is due in great part to the many volunteers and community support generated, year after year, for this charity fundraising running event. There is a full marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K and a newly added full marathon relay. The full marathon and marathon relay starts in Kahului and ends in Kaanapali with scenic views along most of the course. The half marathon, 10K and 5K starts and ends in Kaanapali with beautiful ocean views along the way. Thousands of colorful athletes and personalities have participated in this event over the years and look forward to it with each coming spring. Accessible and Family Friendly Facility: This facility is accessible to all ages and abilities and is family friendly with nice grassy area, playground, and park for parents to take restless children during the concert and intermission.
