Parade of Whales & World Whale Day

Parade of Whales & World Whale Day. The Parade of Whales is the official kick-off to World Whale Day. The parade features participants of all ages and includes floats, marching bands, costumed characters, decorated vehicles and fun performances. The parade starts at 9 a.m. on S. Kihei Road near the Kamaole I Beach parking lot. It follows a one-mile route north, ending at the entrance to the World Whale Day festival at Kalama Park. Following the parade will be a celebration at Kalama Park, including live music, Keiki Carnival including a magic show, `ono local foods, Made on Maui Fair, online auction, Eco Alley and much more. Fee for entry into the festival is $5, keiki 12 and under free. Food and activities within the park require scrip which will be available for purchase at various locations at the park.
