Pablo Estigarribia and Adrian Jost present an evening of tango for piano and bandoneón. From classics to original compositions, their collaborations bring new life into the heart of tango – tradition layered with fresh harmonies and perspectives; stories of life, love, and loss articulated through the hands and minds of two great talents.
Pablo Estigarribia (Buenos Aires & New York), is a classically trained virtuoso Argentine tango pianist, arranger and composer, with a rich jazz influence. He won the prestigious Gardel Prize for the best recording of Tango by a new artist. He is widely recognized as one of the best tango musicians of his generation.
Adrian Jost (San Francisco & Switzerland) is the co-founder and bandoneonist of Trio Garufa, a San Francisco bay area ensemble dedicated to performing Argentine tango and folkloric music which has enthralled audiences in Argentina, Colombia, Canada, Europe and the US. Visit Pabloestigarribia.com or AdrianJost.com for details.
A mini Tango lesson will be held in the lobby before the concert. During the show, enjoy Argentine Tango performances by local dancers. Feel free to dance up front during the second half of the concert.
