Annual Makawao Paniolo Parade. Enjoy this colorful Hawaiian style small town Wild West parade in Makawao, along Makawao and Baldwin Avenues. 8:45 a.m: Stick Horse Race (everyone is welcome to participate). 9 to 11 a.m: Parade. There will be no parking in town. Arrive early to park at Eddie Tam Community Center or at the Oskie Rice Arena, in Olinda, which has free shuttle service from 7 to 9 a.m., and back from the parade starting at 11:30 a.m. For information call (808) 283-2741.
