Annual Taste of Hilo

Annual Taste of Hilo.  Featuring more than 30 participating restaurants, chefs, pastry chefs, bakers, and beverage suppliers.  Sponsored by the Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Hawai`i, event proceeds go to support the Hawai`i Community College culinary program. Each year, a different local ingredient is featured, and culinary students participate by hosting a food station. Hilo Honpa Hongwanji Betsuin Sangha Hall. 398 Kilauea Ave., Hilo. 1 to 3 p.m. Tickets are $55 in advance or $70 at the door, and may be ordered by calling the Chamber at (808) 934-0177 or by emailing jccih@jccih.org.
