Battle of Midway Commemoration. The Museum marks the 72^nd anniversary of the turning point of WWII with a special Midway program 2 – 4 p.m. Curator and Author Burl Burlingame will present a talk entitled “Flying Fortresses Over Midway” at 2 p.m., followed by a 3 p.m. presentation and behind-the scenes look at the restoration progress of the Museum’s Flying Fortress–the famous “Swamp Ghost” B-17E, by Restoration Manager Jim Martinelli.
