Hawai`iana Live.  A 45-minute cultural tourism program hosted by Leilehua Yuen. It features live on stage presentations that share the history and traditions of the Hawaiian culture through storytelling, film, music, oli and hula. Topics and films change weekly as the program revolves around the Hawaiian lunar calendar, and surprise guests and musicians often appear. The Hawai`i Lineman’s Rodeo.  There are many utility linemen rodeos across the nation every year and Hawaiian Electric, Maui Electric, & Hawai`i Electric Light Companies are excited to present the first of its kind, here in Hawaii. Kokua Kailua Hulihe`e Palace Concert Series & Village Stroll

Kokua Kailua Hulihe`e Palace Concert Series & Village Stroll.  One Sunday each month from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Ali`i Drive along scenic Kailua Bay in Kailua-Kona becomes a festive pedestrian-only walkway. Enjoy music, artists, merchants and restaurants. At 4 p.m., there is a free Hawaiian music concert on the lawn at Hulihe`e Palace. Na Mea Hawai`i Hula Kahiko Performance featuring Halau Na Pua Ha`aheo O Kona with kumu hula Roy Palacat. This outdoor presentation takes place rain or shine at the hula platform located near VAC Gallery. The audience is encouraged to bring sitting mat and sun/rain gear. 10:30 a.m. On the same day, there are hands-on cultural demonstrations from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm at VAC Gallery porch. Panaewa Stampede Rodeo.  Check out rodeo Hawaiian-style at this weekend event featuring an amateur competition between cowboys, cowgirls, keiki and kupuna. Kamuela Philharmonic St. Valentine’s Day Fundraising Concert. Join the Kamuela Philharmonic Orchestra and Grammy award winner slack-key guitar player John Keawe for their First Annual Valentine’s Day concert at the Fairmont Orchid Hotel, Waikoloa. 11th Annual Hilo Chinese New Year Festival

11th Annual Hilo Chinese New Year Festival.  Chinese lion dancers celebrate the Year of the Snake 2013 in a mini-Chinatown setting in downtown Hilo.
