The Hanalei community center is easy to find. In Hanalei, a block past the shopping center, turn towards the mountains at Malolo Rd. A small Hanalei Community Center sign is on the edge of Waioli Park soccer fields. Go 20 yards, turn left into the gravel parking area. The concert is in the brown building – Pohai Aloha (Circle of Aloha).

Accessible and Family Friendly Facility: Set off the main road, This facility is accessible to all ages and abilities and is family friendly with nice grassy area and lanai for parents to take restless children during the concert and intermission. Endangered birds such as the Hawaiian stilt, Hawaiian coot, Hawaiian duck, Kolea (golden plover), and nene (Hawaiian goose), Pueo (Hawaiian owl) make their homes here.
Hanalei Bay Swim Challenge

Hanalei Bay Swim Challenge. The 12th Annual Hanalei Bay Swim Challenge takes place on July 27, 2019. The swim is a fundraiser for the Namolokama O’Hanalei Canoe Club and consists of fun and competitive races for all ages from Keiki to Snorkel and Fin. Hundreds of swimmers from 8 and under to veteran champions come from around the world to take the plunge in beautiful Hanalei Bay for this fun event. The event consists of five races (8 & under, 9 – 12, 1000 meter, 3,000 meter and 1,000 meter snorkel & fin) and is the only event of its kind on Kauai. Holualoa Village galleries will feature new art and artists, tasty street eats and music all along Mamalahoa Highway through town during the monthly Art-After-Dark event from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m. The village block party features art and artists in over a dozen galleries and shops, as well as free live music and a great selection of local food vendors. This community event is free, and for all ages.
