Weekly Tahitian Dance Camp for girls 5-14yrs from 9:30am-12:30pm at Kilauea Dance & Fitness. Girls will learn traditional and contemporary dance, a song and its meaning, and with camps of 6 or more, Uncle Tepairu Manea will teach Tahitian drum rhythms. Historic Waimea Walking Tour. Take a 2.5 hour walk back through time in the place where Captain Cook first landed in Waimea. Where the agricultural landscape changed from taro to rice to corn, watered by an intricate ditch system with a marvelous history dating back to the time of the legendary menehune. Learn about the last King of Kaua`i, the missionaries, and other famous citizens of Waimea and the landmarks they left behind. Enjoy a taste of the past in one of the most historic towns in all of Hawai`i. Registration is required for participation and special group tours are available. The 9th Annual Anahola Prince Kuhio Day Celebration

The 9th Annual Anahola Prince Kuhio Day Celebration. This event will reaffirm the leadership, stewardship, and vision of Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalaniana`ole and his legacy in perpetuating the growth of healthy Hawaiian community on `aina ho`opulapula (homesteads land). Participate in a day of fun filled activities. There will be educational, cultural, health and wellness exhibits for the whole family. Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalaniana`ole. Kaua`i Museum hosts the celebration of Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalaniana`ole. Born on March 26, 1871 in Kukui`ula, Koloa on Kaua`i. An heir to King Kaumuali`i the last King of Kaua`i. Educated on O`ahu, California and England, he returned to take a prominent role in government.
