The King’s Parade & Celebration. Fabulous floral parade starts at 9 a.m. starting at the Vidinha Stadium heading up onto Rice Street ending at the Historic County Building. Pa`u island horse units, floats, walking & riding units and much more. At the end of the Parade the Ho`olaule`a will begin with lots of Hawaiian entertainment. Obon Dance & Festival

Obon Dance & Festival. The Obon tradition was brought to Hawai`i by Japanese immigrants and evolved into a social and cultural event, as well as a religious custom designed to honor ancestors through an evening of dance, music and merry-making. Free Weekly Hula Shows
Thursday Afternoons:
Free Weekly Hula Shows. Kalāheo. Beginning May 10th, the National Tropical Botanical Garden (NTBG) will have free weekly hula shows every Thursday from 2–2:45 PM at the NTBG South Shore Visitors Center located at 4425 Lāwa‘i Road across the street from Spouting Horn. Hālau Ka Lei Mokihana O Leinā’ala will perform a traditional Hula show highlighting the “wahi pana,” sacred places, of Kaua’i along with intriguing stories of the Hawaiian people and their connections with the gardens. Dancers will be accompanied by live Hawaiian music.

Live Fire Show. Enjoy the North Shore’s newest one-stop entertainment option – a weekly Polynesian ahi lele (fire dancing) show.
