Kauai Museum May Day Lei contest started by Master Lei Maker Irmalee Pomroy and today her `Ohana continues her legacy. A make-a-lei table will be available at the event from 9 a.m. for those who want to make a lei to take with them, for a minimal donation. Kaua`i Marriott – Puna Court, 3610 Rice St., Lihu`e. Roots & Shoots Fun Run ‘n Walk. Attendees will be shuttled into McBryde Garden from the South Shore Visitors Center located at 4425 Lawai Road (across the street from Spouting Horn in Po`ipu). Parking will be available at the South Shore Visitors Center and participants are encouraged to arrive early to park and check-in. After the run, participants will enjoy a complimentary snack sponsored by Living Foods Gourmet Market along with coffee provided by Kaua`i Coffee Company. A silent auction will also take place after the run. Enjoy a Champagne Brunch in McBryde Garden after the race. Champagne Brunch reservation is an additional fee and can be purchased with your Roots ‘n Shoots Fun Run ticket.
