Obon Dance & Festival – West Kaua`i Hongwanji Temple.

Red Clay Jazz Festival

Wednesday – Saturday, August 3 – 6:
Red Clay Jazz Festival. Jazz performers from across Hawai`i and the Mainland entertain island-wide at different venues, culminating with an ocean front main concert on Saturday at the Courtyard Kaua`i at Coconut Beach, 650 Aleka Loop, Kapa`a.  Performances start at 4 p.m. and last until 9 p.m. Tent seating will be available, along with bring-your-own beach chair seating. Ha`aheo `O Hawai`i Exhibit

Ha`aheo `O Hawai`i Exhibit.  Cleopatra’s Barge was an opulent yacht built in Massachusetts in 1816. It became The Royal Yacht of King Kamehameha II but was wrecked in 1824. It cost about $50,000 to build, and about the same amount for luxury furnishings. Kekaha Fourth of July Celebration Event.  Enjoy cultural demonstration, exhibits, variety of crafts, a plantation museum and lots of fun game booths and rides for the keiki. Enjoy local entertainment throughout the day, along with contests, talent show, local style food, and more. The day ends with a spectacular fireworks display, accompanied by live patriotic music. PMRF Independence Day Freedom Celebration

PMRF Independence Day Freedom Celebration.  Enjoy food, games and craft booths, music by local musicians, and a heart-pounding fireworks display. Admission is free for this family-oriented event. Attendees can enter the base through the Kokole Point gate (adjacent to the county landfill) on Kaumuali`i Hwy., beginning at 5 p.m. Free parking will be available on base.
