KanakAttack Entertainment presents Te Vaka.  South Pacific Fusion, Original Contemporary Pacific Music.   Te Vaka, which means “The Canoe”, winner of Best Pacific Music awards in New Zealand and Hawai’i, is a mix of music, log drum, and dance traditions of Samoa, Tokelau, and New Zealand with the urban sounds of guitar, bass, and drum kit. Festival of Stars and Flavors of Waimea: Na Mele o Kaumuali`i

Saturday, October 24: 
Festival of Stars and Flavors of Waimea:  Na Mele o Kaumuali`i.  A musical event showcasing original compositions about significant events and places in honor of Kaua`i’s beloved King Kaumuali`i, the last king of Kaua`i.  Festivities will begin with the sound of the conch shell, with melodious sounds of chants and songs by musicians and hula dancers. Arrive early to enjoy the Flavors of Waimea and see what treasurers the merchants and local craftsmen, including Ni`ihau shell jewelry, have to offer. Princess Ka`iulani Keiki Festival

Princess Ka`iulani Keiki Festival.  This family friendly event includes live entertainment, hula, children’s activities, cultural activities, a children’s art exhibit, children’s performances, taiko drumming, a royal procession and parade, and children’s story time. Eo e Emalani I Alakai Festival.  Kaua`i’s mountain forest echo with the sounds of Hawaiian music and traditional chants at this free annual festival, mist or shine. Step back in time, when a traditional royal procession arrives at noon (festivities begin at 10 a.m.) Queen Emma and her entourage enter the lovely Kanaloahuluhulu Meadow on horseback, accompanied by hula halau performing chants and dances as gifts for the Queen. Historic Waimea Walking Tour

Historic Waimea Walking Tour.  Take a 3 hour walk back through time in the place where Captain Cook first landed in Waimea.  Learn about the last King of Kaua`i, the missionaries, and other famous citizens of Waimea and the landmarks they left behind.
