  An electronic music trio known for their infectious dance music. The group consists of brothers Jean Paul Makhlouf and Alex Makhlouf, as well as life-long friend, Samuel Frisch. Together, the three DJs/producers/multi-instrumentalists record, mix, and master all of their music. In the midst of creating an extensive catalog of charting originals, they have also found success producing and co-writing for major artists such as Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson, David Guetta, Hardwell, and many others. Known as musical risk-takers with imaginative song structures and energetic live shows, the trio continues to blur the lines between genres. Celebrate Chinese New Year in Lahaina

Celebrate Chinese New Year in Lahaina. 
Ring in the Lunar New Year in Lahaina during this free community celebration, featuring Chinese lion dancing with drums, cymbals and firecrackers at the Wo Hing Museum and Cookhouse on Front Street. After firecrackers are lit, the lions dance down Front Street, stopping in shops and restaurants. Throughout the day, enjoy cultural art activities, like calligraphy and knot tying, for the whole family. Presentations about Chinese New Year history and the fortune-telling arts will be held in the Cookhouse. There will be martial arts demonstrations and instrumental performances along with Chinese tea served in the garden. His concerts feature fresh and exciting mele and chant, showcasing strong, emotional vocals, while his hālau demonstrates innovative stagings that remain true to traditional Hawaiian roots.   This all-female work draws strength from traditional Māori culture to illustrate a tapestry of dance, theatre, and film.  Ancient practices of karakia (prayer), waiata (song), and Māori mythology are weft throughout the performance to enhance cultural connections from Aotearoa/New Zealand to the rest of the world. Formed ten years ago, Okareka was established to fuse contemporary dance with indigenous Māori themes and other genres to create authentic, diverse works. They have become one of New Zealand’s most sought after and prolific dance companies. Maui Humane Society’s Beach Buddies Visitor Program.
Do you miss having a dog to spend your day with? Visitors and residents can sign up to take a homeless dog out for the day from the Maui Humane Society animal shelter. The shelter is easy to find as it is conveniently located in Pu`unene (central Maui) on Mokulele Hwy., between Kihei/Wailea and Kahului. Program participants will pick “their dog” up at 10 a.m. and bring them back no later than 3 p.m. MHS provides all of the supplies, you just provide the fun!
