Superheroes have to get up in the morning, go to school and have a bedtime, just like you! Stories will be read about turning everyday situations into amazing super adventures. Kids, come dressed as your favorite superhero, villain or character to show your fandom. Iao Valley 10K. 
A very scenic race that starts at the Wailuku Municipal Parking Lot off of Vineyard Street. Follows Vineyard Street up to Main Street, turn around outside the scenic Iao Valley State Park and is a long rolling downhill back to Wailuku.  Wailuku Municipal Parking Lot (bounded by Church St, Market St., Main St., and Vineyard St.) 7:30 to 10 a.m.  Cost $25 VIRR Members, $35 Non-members. Maui Humane Society’s Beach Buddies Volunteer Program.
Do you miss having a dog to spend your day with? Visitors and residents can sign up to take a homeless dog out for the day from the Maui Humane Society animal shelter. The shelter is easy to find as it is conveniently located in Pu`unene (central Maui) on Mokulele Hwy., between Kihei/Wailea and Kahului. Program participants will pick “their dog” up at 10 a.m. and bring them back no later than 3 p.m. MHS provides all of the supplies, you just provide the fun!
