Kona Nui Nights
June 19, 2019:
Kona Nui Nights. Kona Nui Nights is a free monthly event that honors and highlights Hawaiian language, music, and the art of hula.
The event starts at 6:00 pm and the doors will open at 5:30 pm. There is limited seating and a cash bar available at the event (Outside alcohol will not be permitted). If you are hungry before or after the show, be sure to stop by one of the fantastic Ward Village restaurants that are just steps away from the Ward Village Courtyard.
If you do not have tickets, there will be a standby line that will be able to enter at 6:00 pm. Free parking is available in the TJ Maxx parking garage or in the Ward Centre parking garage.

Hot Sardines. Hot Sardines will be performing at Blue Note Hawaii with 2 shows nightly at 6:30pm & 9:00pm. Fueled by the belief that classic jazz feeds the heart and soul, THE HOT SARDINES are on a mission to make old sounds new again and prove that joyful music can bring people together in a disconnected world. Constant As the Moon – Concert. Jazz ensemble Constant As the Moon blends the evocative sound of the erhu (two-stringed Chinese fiddle) with guitar, voice, accordion, piano, and bass. The result is a mix of Hawaiian, Chinese and Taiwanese music traditions along with American popular music, producing distinctive vocal and instrumental music delivered in a uniquely pan-Pacific style. Constant As the Moon’s music as beautiful as it is unexpected. This is their debut Atherton performance. This performance is part of HPR’s Atherton Summer Concert Series, which runs through September 7. Haleiwa Triathlon

The Haleiwa Triathlon hosted by Runners HI is a “sprint” distance event held in the scenic North Shore Town of Haleiwa. This event has a 400-meter swim, 12-mile bike & a 3-mile beach & trail run. This is the first event of the triathlon season. Participate as an individual, a 3 person team or in our solo beach cruiser division. Kamehameha Hwy will feature one lane of road closure from 7:00 a.m. to 8:15 a.m.!

King Kamehameha Celebration.“E Kuupau a Kani Lea Na Mele Kupuna Play Without Restraint Until The Songs of Our Ancestors Resound Joyously” Celebrating the traditions of Hawaiian marching bands In 1939 the King Kamehameha Celebration Commission (KKCC) was formed. Pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statute §8-5, “The commission shall have charge of all arrangements for the celebration each year generally observed throughout Hawaii nei on June 11, to commemorate the memory of the great Polynesian Hawaiian warrior and statesman King Kamehameha I, who united the Hawaiian Islands into the Kingdom of Hawaii…” The month long celebration will provide an authentic experience for all participants in the areas of Hawaiian culture and protocols, hula and music, visual arts, food, and most importantly, the history of Hawaii. The 40th annual Pan-Pacific Festival
June 07, 2019 – June 09, 2019:
The 40th annual Pan-Pacific Festival, a celebration of cultural traditions of Hawaii, the Pacific Rim and around the world, will run from June 7 – 9 at various locations throughout Honolulu. The three-day festival kicks off with a Hoolaulea (block party) complete with live entertainment on multiple stages, food, crafts and more. The celebration continues with Performing Arts Showcases, featuring cultural performances and demonstrations. The 19th Annual Pan-Pacific Hula Festival will take place daily on Waikīki Beach featuring more than a dozen hula halau (schools), most of them from Japan. The Punahele Party on Saturday night will feature a live band with hālau. The festival concludes with a colorful parade along Kalakaua Avenue in Waikīki.
