Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade. Gaily lit and decorated F-104 Starfighter joins the other floats and bands, to honor and pay respect to the Pearl Harbor survivors, our veterans, active duty military and their families. The Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum will be giving out free “Traveling P-40” magnets to spectators. The parade takes place on the anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack. Parade will be on Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki, to Kapiolani Park. 6 to 8 p.m.
A Manoa Christmas

A Manoa Christmas. The University of Hawai`i at Mānoa’s Music Department and Department of Theatre and Dance are collaborating on a classical holiday celebration of live music, dance, and theatre. Join the musicians, actors, and dancers of UH Mānoa for this festive celebration of the season with performances from the UH Symphonic Orchestra, Choirs, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, and students from UH Theatre & Dance. Blackened Canteen Ceremony & Youth Symposium

Blackened Canteen Ceremony & Youth Symposium. Dr. Hiroya Sugano, Director General 3 of the Zero Fighter Admirers’ Club, comes from Japan to conduct this annual commemoration of peace and reconciliation ceremony with a silent prayer and pouring bourbon whisky from a WWII blackened canteen into the water from the USS Arizona Memorial as an offering to the spirits of the fallen. The Symposium will highlight the story and lessons of the ceremony, commemorating the friendship, honor and reconciliation borne out of the horror of WWII. Kaneohe Christmas Parade. Each year Kaneohe rings in the holiday season with its historic parade starting at Windward Mall and ending at Castle High School, along the following route: From Haiku Road and Alaloa, makai (ocean side) on Haiku Road, right on Kamehameha Highway (remaining in the Honolulu-bound lanes until Hoene Place intersection). The parade will then cross over to the Kahaluu-bound lanes of Kamehameha Hwy., left on Kaneohe Bay Dr., and right into Castle High School parking lot. 9 a.m. to noon. “We’re Dreaming of a White Christmas”, Parade and Celebration. Celebrate the holidays with a host of fun activities for keiki of all ages. Festivities begin at 9 a.m., as the 33rd Annual Mililani Holiday Parade Celebrating 50 Years of Mililani Town starts at the Mililani High School Stadium, travels on Kipapa Drive to Mililani Shopping Center for the Official Start of the Parade and Contest Judging and then proceeding through Mililani Town ending at approximately 10:30 a.m. at the Town Center of Mililani. Come down to Mililani Shopping Center to get front-row seats for the Annual Mililani Holiday Parade, and follow it up with a free, fun event for the whole family from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon. After watching the Parade pass Mililani Shopping Center, families are invited to stay and enjoy holiday activities, with a Snow Play Zone, Make-and-Take Crafts, games and of course, Santa! All keiki who visit with Santa will receive a free treat!
