Obon Festival. The Obon tradition was brought to Hawai`i by Japanese immigrants and evolved into a social and cultural event, as well as a religious custom designed to honor ancestors through an evening of dance, music and merry-making. Happy Birthday, Amelia Earhart! Celebrate Amelia Earhart’s 118th birthday with cake, juice, and a look at an “Amelia Earhart in Hawai`i” Photo Exhibit. Free with Museum admission and free to Museum Members, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Free admission to families with at least one person dressed in Amelia or historical aviation attire. Aviation Adventure

Aviation Adventure. Teens can experience the excitement of Flight School with a co-ed residential camp for teens.  Students ages 13-15 (or graduates of Flight School) spend 3 days at the Pacific Aviation Museum and 2 nights onboard the Battleship Missouri Memorial exploring STEM concepts of aviation and aerospace in the historic setting of Ford Island.
