The festival that began in Honolulu in 1982 will feature 15 our some of Hawaii’s finest artists in the slack key guitar genre over a period of 6 hours. Attendees will get to experience the many different styles of the genre and will come to understand the beauty of the music. Throughout the day food and refreshments will be available for purchase along with festival items such as festival t-shirts, hats, artist cds, and more. Also, throughout the day attendees will have an opportunity to win free prizes and one lucky winner will win a brand new Taylor guitar worth over $1,000.00. Sunset on the Beach – “Coco”

Sunset on the Beach – “Coco”. Free and open to the public, Sunset on the Beach features viewing of great movies on a 30-foot screen, with popular restaurants serving affordably priced meals and live Hawaiian style entertainment with deejays from popular radio stations. The event is located on Queen’s Surf Beach, across from the Honolulu Zoo. It starts about 4:30 pm and ends at about 9:30 pm, with the movies being shown after sunset. Ike Hana II. The second of two finale concerts featuring a different program from our resident guest artists: ASK Dance Company (Malaysia), Dancers of Damelahamid (British Columbia), and Halau Hula Ka Noeau (Honolulu).
ASK Dance Company A professional, award-winning dance collective from Malaysia built upon the philosophy “that to be alive, one must continuously learn, and thus be unafraid to ASK pertinent questions.” Incorporating traditional and contemporary genres of dance, ASK features outstanding dancers and choreographers and strives to play a significant role in bridging innumerable boundaries and breaking glass ceilings nationally and internationally.
Dancers of Damelahamid an Indigenous dance company from the Northwest Coast of British Columbia celebrating the diversity and depth of the many beautiful Indigenous cultures across Canada. Through dramatic dance, captivating narrative, intricately carved masks, and elaborate regalia the Dancers of Damelahamid transform time and space, bridging the ancient with a living tradition.
Halau Hula Ka Noeau Halau Hula Ka Noeau, under the direction of Kumu Hula Michael Pili Pang, is an award-winning halau hula built on the philosophy that “the ‘Art of Hula’ expresses all we see, hear, smell, taste, touch, and feel.” Dedicated to performing traditional hula styles, particularly a style called hula kui, Hālau Hula Ka Noeau has been a driving force in promoting hula at an academic and artistic level with educational lectures, hula production, and performances in Hawaii and throughout North America and Asia.

Hawaii Beer Fest (2nd Annual). Ohana Broadcast Company and Kurious Productions Present the 2nd Annual Hawaii Beer Fest: Event-goers can sample over 120 craft and draft beer styles featuring select international breweries, and including America and Hawaii’s favorite beer brands and breweries. Hawaii Beer Fest will also feature a variety of food booths, retail booths, adult party games, as well as, exclusive samples of beers found locally only at Hawaii Beer Fest…for one-night only!
