Friday & Saturday, February 1 & 2: 
Chinese New Year Celebration 2019.  Celebrate the Year of the Pig. The family-friendly event will feature food and craft booths, live entertainment, special cultural performances, lion and dragon dances, lion dancing on poles, and more. 2019 Narcissus Queen and her court, along with various lion dance groups, also will be visiting stores in Chinatown to wish them good luck for the new year as part of a traditional New Year’s blessing known as Choy Cheng on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m.  Chinatown Cultural Plaza, 100 Beretania St., Honolulu.  Friday 1 to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. For information call (808) 533-3181 or visit www.chinesechamber.com.
