Maui Pops Orchestra Goes to the Ballet. Maui Academy of Performing Arts (MAPA) partners with the Maui Pops to present the comic ballet Coppelia with music by Delibes. Premiered in Paris in 1870, it has become one of the most popular ballets of all time. Selected scenes from the ballet will fill one half of the concert, with the orchestra performing music of Verdi, Mendelssohn, and Stravinsky on the other.
