Pailolo Challenge 2019. The Pailolo Challenge is a 26-mile race from DT Fleming Beach, Maui to Kaunakakai, Molokai. Paddlers gather from Hawaii, USA, Canada, Australia and more to test themselves in excellent channel crossing conditions. Since it’s inceptiont he race has caught on and considered to be the most consistent and funnesty canoe race in Hawaii. The Pailolo Challenge is organized and staffed by Hawaiian Canoe Club. The mission of HCC is to perpetuate and preserve the art of Hawaiian canoe paddling by providing an environment rooted in traditional Hawaiian values that promote personal growth, character development, and achievement in physical fitness.
