DESCRIPTION:Friday & Saturday\, April 11 & 12:  \nKauai Orchid and Art Festival.  Plein air painters set up around the town\, so there are artists outside painting throughout the weekend. On Saturday\, there will be a stage show with Taiko drumming\, a crowing contest for kids of all ages\, and a concert featuring a variety of slack key musicians. The crowning point of the event is a free concert from Makana. Enjoy several art workshops\, including watercolor painting\, as well as children’s art activities and other events for keiki. There’s a craft fair and silent auction at the church next to the stage. Food vendors set up throughout the town\, and shops and galleries are open on Saturday as well.
