SUMMARY:Ukulele Festival
DESCRIPTION:Friday & Saturday\, November 21 & 22: \nUkulele Festival. The Festival this year is dedicated to Dennis Kamakahi – a many time guest of the Institute. Local musicians will offer classes and school shows\, in addition to four evening concerts (one free and three ticketed)\, reaching a projected 4\,000 school children in North Hawai`i. The free opening concert includes an open invitation to the community to join the masters on stage\, in the popular “Kanikapila” event. Featuring Ledward Kaapana & Benny Chong\, Friday; Jeff Peterson & Nathan Aweau\, Saturday. The Finale concert will feature Spanish and Classical guitar player Vincenzo Martinelli.
