Celebrating twenty years of all-women teams\, these highly competitive wahine (women) fish for cash prizes awarded to the teams with the largest marlin/billfish weighing more than 300 pounds. This summer tradition here in Kailua Kona\, gets started with a party on Friday\, at Huggo’s On the Rocks (75-5828 Kahakai Rd.\, Kailua-Kona)\, and fishing starts in Kailua Bay on Saturday\, starting at 8 a.m. Women stop fishing at 4 p.m. and weigh-ins of the days catch can be seen at Honokohau Harbor\, Charter Desk.
