Activities culminate 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday\, with the indoor-outdoor festival gala.  Enjoy a host of sweet and savory culinary stations presented by top isle chefs\, chocolatiers and confectioners. DESCRIPTION:Friday\, April 27: \nMaui Matsuri Kickoff Event.  The 18th annual Maui Matsuri Festival shares all things Japanese with residents and visitors. The festival features four days of events; April 27\, May 3\, 4 and 5\, held at various locations.    The free Kickoff Event will feature Taiko (Japanese drumming)\, Japanese classic and folk dancing\, and coloring contest for the kids.  A community Bon Dance practice at the end of the evening welcomes participants to learn dances that will be shared again on May 4th and 5th at the UH Maui College Campus.  Queen Ka`ahumanu Center\, 275 W.
