DESCRIPTION:November 16\, 2019:\nChinese Heritage Festival. “A Taste of China” entices festival visitors by sharing Chinese culture through food. The Food Booths offer a variety of taste treats and distinctive cultural dishes available for purchase. There will be a powerpoint presentation in the historic Cookhouse about food\, along with an informative display and demo of Chinese herbs. Live Chinese music entertains the attendees\, with hands on cultural activities available to engage the keiki (children)\, as well as adults. A lei ceremony will be conducted in the Museum lawn at 4:30 pm at the statue of Dr. Sun Yat-sen\, to honor his legacy. Dr. Sun\, who spent time on Maui visiting his brother\, a resident of Kula\, is remembered as a great leader of modern China.
