DESCRIPTION:Every Wednesday & Thursday\, 1 – 4 PM: \nHelping paws VISITOR volunteer program at the Maui Humane Society Shelter in Pu`unene in central Maui on Mokulele Highway between Kihei and Kahului. FOR MAUI VISITORS ONLY (not residents).  Visitors can offer a “helping paw” to homeless animals at the Maui Humane Society shelter doing such activities as walking dogs\, bathing puppies\, brushing cats\, or playing with puppies and kittens. Participants are requested to arrive by 1 p.m. and recommended to wear close-toed shoes and comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting “mussed” or dirty. Children aged 10 to17 are welcome when accompanied by a supervising adult for the duration of the volunteer session.
