DESCRIPTION:Friday\, December 13:\nA second concert of a series features the Kauai Community College Symphony Orchestra. Lihue\, Kauai\, Hawaii at 7:00 pm. The Orchestra will be featuring a medley from Tim Burton’s A Nightmare Before Christmas\, the popular classical favorite Canon in D by Johann Pachelbel\, an “Overture” by Mozart and a charming and festive string piece by Albinoni.  Also on the program will be a medley of holiday tunes.  This concert will be presented on Kauai Community College is the only community college in the University of Hawaii System that has a full instrumental music program. All three ensembles serve musicians of all ages which include students in middle school\, high school and college.  Ensemble members also include working professionals and retirees\, the oldest who is 92 years old. Parking is easier on the Kekaha side of town\, so arrive early (by 4 p.m. is recommended).
