The North Shore Run is a unique race distance of 7.25 miles\, this hilly course takes you on a mix of asphalt and dirt roads along the coast and through Paia Town on Maui’s north shore. The race is put on by Doris Todd Christian Academy and benefits their scholarship fund. To encourage runners of all abilities\, there is also a 4 person relay option. Participants will be given a T-Shirt and racing bib\, and medals given to the top male and female finishers and overall relay team in their age category during a brief award ceremony. Prizes from businesses around the island will be raffled off to the runners as well\, and a pancake breakfast will follow. DESCRIPTION:September 14\, 2019:\nMoon Festival. Celebrate the Chinese Moon Festival and taste traditional tea and mooncakes in the beautifully decorated Tea Garden. The Tea Master presents the history and traditions of tea\, along with tea tasting and moon cakes for sampling and sale. Special moon cakes are available; sweet\, round cakes in the shape of the moon. There will also be presentations and displays in the historic Cookhouse. Live Chinese music entertains the attendees\, cultural practitioners offer free hands on cultural activities\, such as Calligraphy\, and a special craft activity for the keiki (children). Wo Hing Museum\, Cookhouse and Grounds will be open from 10 am to 9 pm on Friday with free admission. The four days prior to the event\, the museum is open 10 am-4 pm with free admission. \n
