Kailua-Kona Independence Day Parade & Fireworks Extravaganza

Tuesday, July 4:
Kailua-Kona Independence Day Parade & Fireworks Extravaganza.  Parade starts at 6 p.m. at the Kekua`okalani Gym/Pool Complex, the parade will proceed south on Kuakini Highway to Palani Road, on to Ali`i Drive, and then south on Ali`i Drive to Walua Road, just past Coconut Grove Marketplace. Entries include neighborhood and community groups, nonprofit or commercial entries along with musical entries and floats of all kinds, multiple color guards and numerous members of the armed services as part of the parade.  Following the parade, there will be a Fireworks Extravaganza over Kailua Bay, starting at 8:00 p.m. For more information visit www.paradesinkona.com.
