Kona Marathon and Family Fun Runs

Kona Marathon and Family Fun Runs. Since its debut in 1994, this event has become Kona’s premier road race, with four great family races – marathon, half-marathon, and 5-K and 10-K runs. All four events start at Keauhou Shopping Center, with the marathon at 5:30 a.m., the half marathon at 6 a.m., the 10K at 6:45 a.m. and the 5K at 6:50 a.m. The courses go along Ali`i Drive, which is the road along the scenic shoreline of the Pacific Ocean, with beautiful views of crashing waves and mountains. All events finish at Sheraton Kona at Keauhou Bay, 78-6831 Ali`i Dr., Keauhou. June 14 – Keiki Run, 8 a.m., Kona Commons Shopping Center; June 20 – Aloha Friday Run – 5:30 a.m. at Kona Commons Shopping Center; June 21 – Health & Fitness Fair, Packet Pick-Up, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunset Pasta Party 6-8 p.m., at Sheraton Kona Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay; June 22 – Kona Marathon, Half Marathon, 10k & 5 k races, 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 P.M. at Kailua-Kona.
