Laukanaka Ka Hula – Throngs of Hula People Gather. 
The 40th Anniversary Celebration of the Prince Lot Hula Festival.  The largest non-competitive hula celebration in Hawai`i, the festival is held each year to honor Prince Lot Kapuaiwa who reprised the once forbidden hula in the district of Moanalua. The festival will feature an impressive line-up of 20 premier hula groups who will perform ancient and contemporary hula over the festival weekend. There will also be cultural demonstrations, a Hawaiian-inspired craft fair, poi pounding workshops, entertainment and more.  Local food and refreshments will be available for purchase on both days. There is no charge to attend the festival, however, a button donation to non-profit Moanalua Gardens Foundation, the festival’s presenter, is requested to raise funds to support the event.
