Lei Day Celebration 2014. The Hawaiian Lei Day Celebration events began in 1927. The annual Lei Day Celebration provides a venue to celebrate the lei and the skill and artistry of Hawai`i’s lei makers. Enjoy local musicians entertaining and vendors selling lei, craft, and food throughout the day.
