Maui Matsuri Kickoff Event

Maui Matsuri Kickoff Event.  The 18th annual Maui Matsuri Festival shares all things Japanese with residents and visitors. The festival features four days of events; April 27, May 3, 4 and 5, held at various locations.    The free Kickoff Event will feature Taiko (Japanese drumming), Japanese classic and folk dancing, and coloring contest for the kids.  A community Bon Dance practice at the end of the evening welcomes participants to learn dances that will be shared again on May 4th and 5^th at the UH Maui College Campus.  Queen Ka`ahumanu Center, 275 W.
