Ukulele Festival

Friday & Saturday, November 21 & 22:
Ukulele Festival. The Festival this year is dedicated to Dennis Kamakahi – a many time guest of the Institute. Local musicians will offer classes and school shows, in addition to four evening concerts (one free and three ticketed), reaching a projected 4,000 school children in North Hawai`i. The free opening concert includes an open invitation to the community to join the masters on stage, in the popular “Kanikapila” event. Featuring Ledward Kaapana & Benny Chong, Friday; Jeff Peterson & Nathan Aweau, Saturday. The Finale concert will feature Spanish and Classical guitar player Vincenzo Martinelli.
