World Whale Day and Whale Parade
Saturday, February 14: World Whale Day and Whale Parade. Enjoy a free, all-day festival honoring the humpback whales that come to Maui each winter. The festivities begin at 9 a.m. with a colorful Parade of Whales down South Kihei Road, and continue until sunset at beautiful, oceanside Kalama Park. Saturday, April 11: Lei Making Workshop – Kalama Beach Park. Learn Hawaiian lei-making methods (hili, haku, wili, kipuu, kui and humupapa).
