36th Annual Prince Lot Hula Festival
Saturday, July 20: 36th Annual Prince Lot Hula Festival. The largest non-competitive hula event in Hawaii, and features hula kahiko (ancient) hula and chant, and auana (modern) hula performances. Local food and refreshments will be available for purchase. Bring beach chairs and mats and enjoy fun, food and festivities at Moanalua Gardens, 2850 Moanalua Road, Honolulu. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free, donations encouraged. Saturday, July 19: Prince Lot Hula Festival. Hula groups will perform ancient and contemporary hula. Enjoy cultural demonstrations, a Made in Hawai`i craft fair, poi pounding workshops, entertainment and more. The festival is free, donations are welcome.
