Festival of Lights
Throughout the Month of December, beginning December 7: Festival of Lights. The Festival of Lights is a unique annual event at the Historic County Building in Lihue, dedicated to presenting for generations to come the beautiful decorations created by Josie Chansky, as well as creations crafted by volunteers and perpetuating the tradition that residents and visitors from around the world experienced for decades at the Chansky "Christmas House" in Kapa`a. The King’s Parade & Celebration
Saturday, June 10: The King’s Parade & Celebration. The theme for this year’s celebration and parade is Ho`okahi ka `ilau (Wield the Paddles Together), in honor of Kaua`i’s ocean voyagers.
