Sunday, September 7: Mayor’s Remembrance Walk. The annual Mayor's Remembrance Walk in observance of the September 11th terrorist attacks is planned. December 6: Honolulu City Lights Opening Ceremonies and Parade. Saturday, December 3: Honolulu City Lights Opening Night Festivities. Food booths and keiki rides open at 4 p.m. The Electric Light Parade leaves A`ala Park and proceeds down King Street to Honolulu Hale at 6 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., a 55-foot Norfolk tree is illuminated, triggering the “Corridor of Lights” down King and Punchbowl streets.
