Saturday, September 3: Aloha Festivals: 2014 Royal Court Investiture & Opening Ceremony. A celebration of Hawai`i’s music, dance and history intended to preserve the unique island traditions. The king, queen, prince and princess take their place in the royal court. The Ali`i court members will receive the royal cloak, helmet, head feather lei and other symbols of their reign. To kick off the festivities, the Aloha Festivals Royal Court will be introduced on the grounds of Helumoa, which was originally the home of Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop.
