Maui Matsuri (Japanese Festival) 2014 and Maui Taiko
Saturday, May 10: Maui Matsuri (Japanese Festival) 2014 and Maui Taiko. The festival will feature Japanese and Okinawan cultural entertainment, including Taiko drums, food and craft booths, demonstrations and exhibits, cultural crafts for kids, manga and art contest, cosplay costume contest, hanafuda/sakura contest, eating contests, and obon dancing. Maui Matsuri Festival
Saturday, May 5: Maui Matsuri Festival. The festival features Japanese and Okinawan entertainment, free children’s crafts, food booths, craft booths, kids games, exhibits, cosplay exhibition, martial arts demos, saimin & natto eating contests, manga & art drawing contests, and ends with a community Bon Dance which honors ancestors.
