Hawaiian Music Series.  Enjoy live Hawaiian music on the Baldwin Home lawn from 6 to 7:30 p.m.  The free program takes place in historic Lahaina and features local entertainers performing traditional Hawaiian music. Saturday, July 13: 
Hawaiian Moonlight.   Entertainment featuring George Kahumuku Jr. and friends who volunteer their talent, and organize stage performances of Hawaiian music as their way of “giving back” to the Bailey House Museum. Bring your blanket or a low back beach chair and enjoy the evening listening to music under the moon and stars. Tickets are $25 for General Admission and $20 for Maui Historical Society Members.  Children 12 and under free with a paid adult. 48th Annual Makawao Paniolo Parade

Saturday, July 6: 
48th Annual Makawao Paniolo Parade.  Theme: Hanohano Nā Paniolo (Distinguished are the Paniolo).  Stick Horses Race at 8:45 a.m., Parade begins at 9:00 a.m.  No parking in town.  Roads will be closed.  Park at the Oski Rice Arena Rodeo Grounds on Olinda Road and take the free shuttle.  For information call (808) 572-9565.

Obon Dance & Festival

Throughout the Month of July: 
Obon Dance & Festival.  The Obon tradition was brought to Hawaii by Japanese immigrants and evolved into a social and cultural event, as well as a religious custom designed to honor ancestors through an evening of dance, music and merry-making.  Festivities and Dance schedules and locations are listed below:

Candlelit Tours at the Baldwin Home Museum.  Step back in time and visit the Baldwin Home Museum with a tour by candle light.
